For a great view over Kyogle, the main street and the surrounding rolling hills, this is the place to go. There are no facilities or seating up here, simply stand and enjoy the view to both the north and west. The narrow winding road up to the lookout, located on Fairy Mount, passes through a residential area and is NOT suitable for vehicles towing caravans. A possible alternative is Memorial Park on Highfield Rd which also offers a fantastic view.
A walking trail from the Lookout leads to the trignometric station on top of Fairy Mount. Steep in places (suitable walking shoes are recommended) but the views are well worth the effort. There are great views over Kyogle to Toonumbar in the West, Cambridge Plateau to the South and the Fawcetts Plain all the way to the Border Ranges to the north.
