Situated 40km West of Casino, just off the Bruxner Highway, Mallanganee is one of the Kyogle Shire’s rainforest gateways. Today, the village is a peaceful haven, away from crowds and traffic. The village name itself is from the local indigenous dialect, meaning “Place of Tall Pines”. One and a half hours’ drive from Ballina and one hour from Lismore, the village is at the foot of the Richmond Range.
