The Shimla Curry House – Kyogle

The Shimla Curry House offers authentic Indian cuisine in an alfresco setting. Meals are dine-in or take away. Assorted Indian meals, burgers, hot dogs etc or try their sandwiches, toasties, fish and chips, steak sandwiches, milkshakes, tea/coffee and drinks  being  available, along with other delights.

Open Wednesday – Sunday from 11am-9pm,  except on the Kyogle Bazaar Market Day (on the 4th Saturday of each month), when they are open 10am-9pm.

Lunchtime specials available from 11am-2pm for $10, which includes 1/2 curry- 1/2 rice.

Roxy Lane Cafe – Kyogle

Progressing from a stall at the Kyogle Farmers Market, long-time restaurateur and chef Esther Taylor has created the Roxy Lane Cafe. Located at the corner of Stratheden Street and Roxy Lane (next door to the Council Chambers) the Cafe offers an ever-changing, creative menu of home-made meals, pies, etc  which include sweets and savouries. Whilst  they specialise  in turkish coffee you can also have a great cuppa tea or smoothies and cool beverages.

At this stage the cafe is open for breakfast and lunch on Fridays from 6.00am to 4.00pm and Saturdays from 6.00am to 2.00pm.

Annies Garden Cafe – Wadeville

Formerly known as Annie’s Tea Garden and Nursery. Come and enjoy the quiet atmosphere out in the country, located 22.4 klms from Kyogle or 44.6 klms from Murwillumbah . Explore the country gardens, large native nursery, garden ornaments, friendly animals for petting. Cafe menu, includes a variety of cooked meals. Annie’s kitchen boasts a wood stove from which she prepares modern country food. Annie’s menu includes all-day breakfasts, snacks, light meals, burgers, salads, freshly baked scones, dessert goodies, espresso bar, speciality teas, cold drinks, shakes and there will always be cool water on the table. Dining can be near the cafe centre or in one of the many Gazebo’s in the gardens or at the casual chairs and table settings scattered throughout the gardens. Annie has 5 acres of relaxing gardens. Within these gardens Annie has erected gazebo’s and casual table & chair settings for your dining pleasure. She has also created ‘garden rooms’ from her own plantings and from the native rainforest plants on the property. Annie’s Garden Cafe regularly hosts SUNDAY entertainment – adding to the district a cultural venue for patrons to enjoy. Wiangaree General Store – Wiangaree

Wiangaree General Store (under new managment early 2021) is where you treat yourself to a variety of refreshments and experience a big dose of country hospitality while gathering local information. It is a one stop shop for most of your needs. You can have a cooked meal, coffee, obtain general grocery lines, they are licenced.

Picnic tables and toilet facilities are available in the park very close to the shop, under the trees at the road intersection. Open 7 days per week the store is located on Summerland Way, at the intersection of Lynche’s Creek Road, which is the road leading to the Border Ranges National Park.

This is your last opportunity to gather supplies before entering the National Park or heading out for a day’s drive. The General Store is also a Tourist Information Centre and can supply the visitor with local maps and brochures for tourist drives and local information.

Cawongla Store

Cawongla Store, Restaurant and Gallery – Cawongla Via Kyogle. Cawongla Store & Gallery is an essential rural experience. It is a great place to stop for refreshments, while exploring the surprising well-stocked art gallery with works by many local artists. Come along on Friday nights and enjoy their Wood Fired Pizzas. Hungry Gecko Cafe – Tabulam

NOTE 18/10/21: With the re-opening after Covid Lockdown, and with the new NSW  PublicHealth regulations to help NSW get into business again they are still offering Dine-in to those customers who can show proof of Vaccination ( as per current regulations) and still wear a mask, except when eating. Otherwise, Takeway meals and coffee will also be on offer at present, till new regulations are phased in on Dec 1st 21.

Open 7 days per week. Great venue for quick refreshments. Mon-Thurs 10am-7.30pm. Fri & Sat 10am-8pm and Sun 10am-7.30pm.

Variety of meals and refreshments available,  take-away food or eat-in. Fresh seafood, fresh salads including Greek & Caeser, home made pies, cakes and slices and a great range of pizza (fri/sat nights). Espresso coffee. They have an ice cream bar with a great choice of flavours.

They will deliver your Pizza from 6pm on Friday nights, within the town limits.
