In a 2.5 hour workshop\, we will explore: \n\nWhat does a regenerative\, adaptive and safe future for your community and the region look and feel like? We’re talking social\, environmental\, economic and cultural regeneration.\nWhat actions are needed to take us towards this future?\n\nOur invitation – Anyone who lives\, works or studies in the Kyogle region is invited to participate in our Imagine workshops tailored to the area. DESCRIPTION:  \n  \nThe Roxy Gallery is proud to present an exhibition showcasing outstanding works on paper\, generously loaned from the collection of Grafton Regional Gallery. \nFocused on Australian printmaking\, this exhibition brings together etchings\, linocuts\, woodcuts\, drypoints\, and lithographs from established masters and emerging voices. From the technically exquisite etchings of Jorg Schmeisser and the bold woodcuts of John Pratt to the drypoint intimacy of Noel McKenna and the powerful lithography of Judy Watson\, the exhibition traces the rich history and contemporary vitality of the print medium in Australia. \nThe exhibition includes distinct works by Dickie Minyintiri (Kapi Tjukurpa)\, Nyukana Baker\, and Mapiya Davery from the APY and Pitjantjatjara lands. \nAlso featured are acclaimed printmakers Dean Bowen\, Peter Lyssiotis\, Locust Jones\, and Pia Larson\, alongside the infamous Michael Leunig  with some distinctive etched works. \nRounding out the collection are prints by Alison Williams\, Robert Moore\, Ben Reid\, Bill Moseley\, Cat Poljski\, Charles Blackman\, Cleo Wilkinson\, Darren Bryant\, Graham Nudge\, Gwen Scott\, Heather Shimmen\, James Pasakos\, James Whitington\, John Marshall\, Kate Zizys\, Leonie Lane\, Melissa Smith\, Barbie Kjar\, Rochelle Summerfield\, Vera Zulumovski\, and Allison Carroll. \nLaunch Event – Saturday 2 May\, 11am \nJoin us for morning tea\, an introduction and a chat. DESCRIPTION:DOGFEST\nA festival for dog lovers that celebrates all things canine\, will return to the Bonalbo Showground on Saturday\, 23 May.\n  \nStars of season three of the ABC’s Muster Dogs series Marlene Brewer and her Border Collie Hudson will be special guests at the event\, with the duo taking to the centre ring of the Bonalbo Showground to showcase what a champion working dog can do\, and how the pair work together. \nMarlene and Hudson will also be on hand to talk with festival goers about her experience on Muster Dogs\, why well-trained working dogs should be an integral part of any farm running livestock\, and her experiences as a woman in the traditionally male-dominated agricultural sector. \nThose attending the event will also be able to chat with a professional dog trainer and have a go\, with their dog\, at a fun obstacle course.  There also be information stalls\, displays\, give-aways\, a dog show and music. \nThe event is organised by the Bonalbo SOS Progress Association with the support of Kyogle Council and is free to attend. \n  \n \n \n  \n  \n

DESCRIPTION:National Reconciliation Week (NRW) is a time for all Australians to learn about our shared histories\, cultures\, and achievements\, and to explore how each of us can contribute to achieving reconciliation in Australia.\nAll In for National Reconciliation Week 2026\nThe theme for National Reconciliation Week 2026 is All In\, a call for all Australians to commit wholeheartedly to reconciliation every single day. \nAll In makes clear that reconciliation is not a spectator sport and that all of us must step away from the sidelines and take action to make change. \nThe theme also reminds us that reconciliation and advancing Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples’ rights isn’t a passive activity\, and it is not solely the responsibility of First Nations people\, who have carried the weight of championing\, explaining and acting for far too long. \nReconciliation will not happen by itself\, and it will not happen without all of us. \nThe #NRW2026 campaign was created in collaboration with Carbon Creative\, a First Nations-owned and operated marketing and creative agency. \nThe artwork for this campaign is by renowned Gumbaynggirr/Bundjalung artist Otis Hope Carey\, who applied his distinctive style to create a colourful and optimistic visual representation of people from all walks of life being ‘all in’ to make change. \n  \n \n  \n\n  \n \n  \n
