SUMMARY:NORPA presents PRIMA FACIE
DESCRIPTION:  \n  \nA NORPA production \nPrima Facie\nWritten by Suzie Miller\nDirected by Heather Fairbairn \nThe world’s most talked about play\, right on your doorstep \nSuzie Miller’s Prima Facie has captivated audiences worldwide — from London’s West End to Broadway. Now\, NORPA brings its original production of this landmark Australian play to six destinations in the Northern Rivers. \nMatilda Ridgway (Belvoir’s The Curious Incident of the Dog in the Night-time) takes on the powerhouse role of Tessa — an ambitious young lawyer at the top of her game. But when a shocking event throws her own life into crisis\, she finds herself on the other side of the witness stand\, forced to confront the entrenched power of the law. Once a champion of the system\, she now faces its cracks and failures firsthand. \nDirected by renowned director Heather Fairbairn (Opera Australia’s Katya Kabanova and Bell Shakespeare’s Twelfth Night)\, this is theatre at its most urgent and moving — a story that challenges\, provokes\, and resonates deeply with audiences around the world. \nNORPA is proud to produce Prima Facie as the very first work in our annual Village Circuit season — sharing exceptional theatre with towns and communities across the Northern Rivers. \nIn February 2026\, Prima Facie will play in Byron Bay\, Murwillumbah\, Tweed Heads\, Kyogle\, Grafton and Lismore. \nDETAILS\nOn tour from 12 — 28 Feb 2026 \nKYOGLE\nFEB 21\, 2026 | 7.30pm\n  \n\n  \n  \n

SUMMARY:AUSTRALIA DAY | Kyogle LGA Community Pool Parties | KYOGLE\, WOODENBONG\, BONALBO
DESCRIPTION:Kyogle’s Australia Day festivities will include free entry to the Kyogle\, Woodenbong and Bonalbo Pools …\n\n\n\n \n \n\n\nThe Story of Australia\nThis is the Story of Australia – the story of an extraordinary nation. \nThe Story begins 65\,000 years ago. New chapters are written every day. \nOn Australia Day\, we reflect on our history\, its highs and its lows. \nWe respect the stories of others. \nAnd we celebrate our nation\, its achievements and most of all\, its people. \nWe’re all part of the story.\n  \nAustralia Day is about so much more than the events of one day – it is about where we have come from\, who we are as a nation and what we aspire to be. January 26 is an important date in Australia’s history that has evolved over time. \nOn our national day we can reflect on our complete and complex history and understand that acknowledging and reconciling our past helps lay a path to a stronger future. We respect and celebrate Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Peoples’ survival\, resilience and over 65\,000 years of continuous culture. \nIt’s also a day we can pay respect to the stories\, histories and contributions of the Australians who lived\, worked and fought for the values and freedoms we sometimes take for granted. \nIt is a day that will mean different things to each of us. We are all shaped by our own experiences\, and we celebrate living in a dynamic\, multicultural nation where everyone’s views\, beliefs and contributions are valued. \nMore than half of all Australians participate in Australia Day\, attending events organised by State Governments\, local councils and community groups\, or getting together with family and friends. In addition\, over 16\,000 new Australians become citizens on Australia Day. \n\n  \n  \n  \n
