Things To Do
back to listingRain Forest Walk
Rich in history, the Rainforest Walk highlights the tales of the past and blends them with the present, creating a factual venture through scenic natural rainforest areas, Kyogle Gardens, popular parklands, and playing fields . Local farmer Mr. R.E. Alcorn donated this land to the community as Crown Reserve for recreational purposes. Adjacent to the Fawcett’s Creek, the Kyogle Recreational Area Reserve has seen many community activities over the years. Bands in the Rotunda were a feature of a Sunday picnic in Alcorn Park. Early Rugby and cricket games were played on the Rec. Home of Kyogle’s first Lawn Bowls rink now the Croquet Club, but tennis has remained at this site all along.
