National park closures in the area

Thursday 1st June 2017

UPDATE 01.06.17

The Eastern side of the Border Ranges National Park remains closed due to extensive damage sustained during ex-tropical cyclone Debbie. Entry to the Border Ranges is via Wiangaree only and access is only available as far as The Pinnacle Lookout. There is no access via Barkers Vale and the Eastern entrance. Blackbutts Lookout and the Bar Mountain Picnic Area and Walking Tracks remain closed.

Toonumbar National Park also remains closed. Cox’s Road, Toonumbar Forest Drive, Sherwood Lookout and Murray’s Scrub Lookout are all closed but Iron Pot Creek Campground and Murray’s Scrub Walking Track are open.

Wollumbin National Park (Mt Warning) is now open, though there are still road works on Mt Warning Road, so delays may be experienced.
