Situated 40 kms West of Casino, just off the Bruxner Highway, Mallanganee is one of the Kyogle Shire’s rainforest gateways. Today, the village is a peaceful haven, well away from crowds and traffic. The village name itself is aboriginal, meaning “Place of Tall Pines”. One and a half hour’s drive from Ballina, and 1 hour from Lismore, the village is set just below the Richmond Range.
The Mallanganee Hotel opens daily at 11am and closing times vary depending on patronage. The Hotel has accommodation comprising 4 motel-style rooms for your overnight stay in the area. The modern hotel replaces the original wooden hotel that was unfortunately destroyed by fire some years ago. Motorhomes welcome as there are camping facilities available behind the hotel. Powered or unpowered sites available. Meals available 7 days a week, either take-away or dine-in.
Most popular beers are on tap and bistro style meals and freshly made pizzas are available.
The hotel provides accommodation in 4 motel-style rooms per night. Continental breakfast can be provided.
