From the minute you walk through the gate, this comfortable and friendly space will make you feel at home and relaxed. With easy access off the Bruxner Highway on the edge of the small village of Tabulam this holiday stop-over has many pleasures to offer.
If travelling with pets there is space for them to unwind too, be they large or small and a paddock next to the cottage will accommodate even the largest horse.
Chauvel Park located 69 km east of Tenterfield and 55 km west of Casino on the Bruxner Highway. We are located on the edge of the village of Tabulam on twelve acres of beautiful rural land that has eight hundred metres of Clarence River frontage.
Chauvel Park now has on ofer horse riding- 1 hr trail rides. When you check out the accommodation availability please request full details if you would like to have a ride, but if quiet contemplation is more your style then the garden provides a number of beautiful vistas and the bird-life is rich and friendly, you might also catch a glimpse of the resident possum and as you sit in your reverie you might just hear the feint neigh of horses and the clinking of bridles as the Light Horse muster in readiness, on the eve of their departure into the realms of War, Fame and History, for this the historic old property is the last vestige of the old ‘Tabulam Station’ once a huge land holding stretching beyond the Queensland border and later the Chauvel’s breeding ground for the famous Light Horse.
